NPR Commentator and Award-Winning Essayist Marion Winik Presents Her Powerful Collection

A note from Fountain Bookstore owner, Kelly Justice:

I met Marion for the first time in October of 2018 at a manic author luncheon for booksellers in Baltimore.

I saw her nametag and had an immediate visceral reaction of such a violently emotional nature I assumed we had met before and I had just forgotten, but we must have made a very strong connection.  As I listened to the room buzz around me, I realized that we had, in fact, never met.  I had read her memoir First Comes Love in 1996 and it had such a profound effect on me I had had a dizzying physical symptom upon just seeing her name.  People.  That kind of writing is just crazy good to stick with me for over 20 years.

I invite you to come and experience the same thing with me on this special night.  Because you know I butted around all the other booksellers at the table and said, "So, how can we get you to Fountain?"

Thank you, Marion and Counterpoint Press for making such amazing books and making this night happen!
