A stark reminder that we can choose our partners, but we can't choose our in laws. Emily is madly in love with Adam, but less so with his mother Pammie. Pammie is rude, overbearing, and heartily disapproves of Emily for her beloved son and will do anything to keep them apart. Health scares and snarky comments over dinner are just the start of her attempts to separate the two. Emily is almost driven over the edge before she realizes the truth behind her crazy mother in law in a surprising turn of events.
This is an idea that's been done several times before but Jones keeps it fresh with an unexpected twist at the end that makes for a wonderful debut. I can't wait to read more by this author!

BUT SHE LOVES YOU NOT: Lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man she loves.
AND SHE'LL STOP AT NOTHING: Emily chose Adam, but she didn’t choose his mother Pammie. There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants: Emily gone forever.
