After earning his B.A. from Drew University, Jason Tesauro pursued wine school and affection for Cabernet Franc. By day, he has served since 2002 under winemaker Luca Paschina at Barboursville Vineyards. By night, Tesauro coauthored The MODERN GENTLEMAN: A Guide to Essential Manners, Savvy & Vice (Ten Speed Press, 2002) and The MODERN LOVER: A Playbook for Suitors, Spouses & Ringless Carousers (Ten Speed Press, 2004). He pens wine & spirits columns for The Sunday Paper (Atlanta, GA) and Richmond magazine, and manners/dating/vice columns for MAXIM, Men's Health, Match.com, and Virginia Bride. Tesauro also contributed to bestselling author Patricia Schultz's 1,000 Places to See in the USA and Canada Before You Die (Workman Publishing, 2007).
With Champagne saber in tote, Tesauro promotes panache on radio and television from BBC to CNN to Montel while garnering glowing print reviews from Entertainment Weekly to Playboy to Publisher's Weekly. In 2006, he co-hosted a television pilot that aired on TLC. Leading the renaissance of charm and civil vice, Tesauro is also an international wine/spirits/etiquette trainer for The English Manner, based in London. He hosted the Smithsonian Institute's Savvy Epicure course and conducted two seasons of The Ritz-Carlton's Modern Gentleman seminar series. Tesauro has partnered with such brands as Aston Martin, Orient-Express Hotels, Harrah's/Bally's Entertainment, Johnnie Walker Blue, Oliva Cigars, Mervis Diamonds. He plays house (and lots of croquet) with his wife and two tots in Richmond, Virginia.
