Ron
Hogan helped create the literary Internet by launching Beatrice.com in
1995. In 2010, after writing about the business side of publishing as a senior
editor for GalleyCat for several years, he briefly served as the
director of e-marketing strategy for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. His most recent
book is Getting Right with Tao, a print edition of his popular online
“translation” of the Tao Te Ching into modern vernacular. www.beatrice.com
Rebecca Joines Schinsky is the Book Lady of the infamous
Booklady Blog, featuring reviews of literary fiction, memoirs, an eclectic
smattering of nonfiction and whatever else strikes her fancy. You’ll also find
recaps of author events and her take on publishing industry news and issues. She
was one of the organizers of BookBloggerCon, the first of its kind, held in
conjunction with this year's Book Expo America. She is a leader in the book
blogger field. Her blog receives about 40,000 hits a month. www.thebookladysblog.com
Joe
Wallace spent two decades as a nonfiction writer of books and articles
on natural history, the environment, health, and baseball history, before
turning to fiction. His short stories have appeared in Baltimore Noir, Ellery
Queen’s Mystery Magazine, and the Mystery Writers of America anthology The
Prosecution Rests, among other collections. (His story “Custom Sets” was
recently selected for inclusion in The Best American Mystery Stories 2010.)
Diamond Ruby (Touchstone, 2010), his first novel, was called “lively and
entertaining” by The Washington Post. Joe lives north of New York City with his
wife, two teenage children, and one large dog. www.josephwallace.com
Kelly Justice is the
owner of The Fountain Bookstore in Downtown Richmond and has been in independent
bookselling for 21 years. She currently serves as president of the Southern
Independent Booksellers Alliance which sponsors the Get in Bed with a Book
Blogger project, an idea she co-created with Rebecca Joines Schinsky of The
Booklady's Blog to partner indie booksellers with bloggers to promote books and
authors. In the August issue of Richmond Magazine, she was an Editor's Choice
for Richmonders to Follow on Twitter. www.fountainbookstore.com
