Joshilyn Jackson, a native of the Deep South, will give us a preview of her new novel, “A Grown Up Kind of Pretty,” the story of a Mississippi family whose secrets run deep and threaten to cost them everything. Jackson is also the author of “gods in Alabama” and “Between, Georgia,” both #1 BookSense picks, which gives her the distinction of being the first author to achieve this honor in back-to-back years. Her more recent novels, “The Girl Who Stopped Swimming” and “Backseat Saints,” both hit the New York Times Bestseller List. Jackson has worked as an actor and an award-winning teacher. She now lives with her husband and two children outside of Atlanta.
